Product Description

Screw jacks come assembled, threaded, and ready for hookup. Connect a motor or hand-crank shaft to the screw jack shaft to lift, hold, position, and level loads.
Manual or optional working speed of screw jacks is chosen according to the table above. As for screw jacks that will be used for motors or reducers, the progress pace, X and Y type, will be determined by our company according to the selected features.
A hand wheel is a convenient solution for manually operating a jack when using machine screw jacks in intermittent positioning applications. Hand wheels are available in a range of diameters from 5 to 16 inches and can be adapted for use on jacks up to the 20 tons capacity model.
NOTE: Hand wheels do not include a brake and therefore are not for use with ball screw jacks. When using hand wheels with a jack that can back drive (12:1 and lower) an additional locking mechanism may be required to prevent "creep".

All JACTON screw jacks with handwheels are ideal solutions for applications where electricity or power generators is inconvenient or dangerous, light weight, low duty cycle, low target cost and short travel length. Available in load capacity 1/4 ton, 1/2 ton, 1 ton, 2 ton, 2.5 ton, 3 ton, 5 ton, 10 ton, 15 ton and 20 ton, heavy load larger than 20 ton capacity, handwheel manual operation is not recommended. There are two types hand wheels, one is cast iron handwheels, another aluminum handwheels. The cast iron handwheels sizes 100mm, 125mm, 160mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, 400mm and 500mm. The aluminum handwheels sizes 100mm, 125mm, 160mm, 200mm.

When faced with the need to lift, lower, push or pull a load-especially a heavy load-and hold it in the correct position, a screw jack or multiple jack system may provide the best linear motion solution when considering its performance/cost ratio. There are 3 main types of screw jacks: machine/worm gear screw jacks, ball screw jacks, and bevel gear jacks. Within these, there are 3 subcategories related to the mode of operation: Translating, Keyed, and Rotating/Traveling nut. The advantages and disadvantages of each type are given below.
With keyed screw jacks, a key is positioned along a keyway on the screw, and stabilizes the screw, causing it to travel, with no need to have the end affixed to any given load. This method is commonly used in single jack systems when the load is free standing and may rotate or pivot on the screw end.
