How Screw Jacks Work?
Main components of screw jacks are trapezoidal lifting screw, worm screw, worm gear and gear housing. Worm screw is rotated manually or by motor. Worm gear is rotated by worm screw. The lifting screw moves through the rotating worm gear. The linear motion speed of lifting screw depends on thread size and rotation ratio of worm gears.
Sluice Gate Screw Jacks Features:
1. Inverted type, screw translating type, clevis end or top plate, with a protective tube.
2. Standard lift screw is a self locking ACME screw with C45 steel material. Optional stainless steel screw.
3. Worm gear screw jacks can be used as either single drive units or multi lifting systems as per the weight and sizes of the gate.
4. Screw jacks can be manually operated, or motorized.
Mechanical screw jacks can be operated by manually or by electrical motor. More than one screw jacks can be connected together to move simultaneously.
Stainless Steel Machine Screw Jacks are ideal for use in demanding environments where corrosion resistance is required. All external components are manufactured from 300 series Stainless Steel materials. These jacks use a stainless steel worm with a high strength bronze drive sleeve.
